Penguin India, India’s one of the largest book publishers has launched a Penguin collectibles and merchandise – mugs, notebooks, cloth bags, baggage tags, besides other – as a part of its 25th year celebrations.
The range would be available across major retail stores throughout India, and more items would be added as a part of the year-long celebration.
Penguin kicks-tarts the celebrations at the Jaipur Literature Festival, starting on January 20.
The publishing company has also unveiled its ‘Penguin 25th Year’ logo.
As a part of the celebration, the company will be unveiling a customised Penguin car at the Jaipur Literature Festival on January 21.
Penguin would also be launching the 25 Popular Penguin’s list, which includes titles like Mahatma Gandhi’s My Experiments with Truth, RK Narayan’s The Guide, Arundhati Roy’s The God of Small Things; and Shobhaa De’s Starry Nights, besides others. The books have a classic Penguin branding with orange and white striped covers.
Speaking about Penguin completing 25 years in India, Andrew Phillips, CEO, Penguin Books India said, “Over two and a half decades, we’ve built a publishing brand in India that is instantly recognised and respected across the country. We are extremely excited about our 25th Year Anniversary Celebrations and we will celebrate this year with a series of events, activities and initiatives.”
Also in the anvil is ‘Give Back’, a CSR initiative, through which Penguin will keep Rs 25 aside for charity from each Popular Penguin sale.
