In the consumer’s universe ‘youth’ has gained a very prominent spot and caught the fancy of marketers. If numbers are something to go by, 70 per cent of the Indians are below the age of thirty and nearly 50 per cent below the age of 25 years. Also, estimates suggest that India has a median age at 26 years (as of 2010), trending towards 28 in 2020. Compare this to median age of other countries in 2010: Brazil at 29, China at 34, US at 36.6, Russia at 38, UK at 40 and Japan at 45. No wonder then, marketers are putting so much emphasis on Youth in their marketing blueprints.
And that’s why, we at Pitch decided to put the spotlight on the marketing initiatives around youth with the Pitch Youth Marketing Summit & Awards 2012. The Pitch Youth Marketing Summit & Awards 2012 will be held on 12th October 2012 at New Delhi. The summit will be held between 10 AM to 5 PM and the awards between 6 PM to 8 PM.
