iPhone 5 launches in India with Airtel data plans

The much awaited iPhone 5 has arrived in India with service provider Airtel announcing data plans for the same. According to a press statement issued by the network provider, the plans will allow iPhone 5 users to connect to its fast HSPA+ and DC-HSPA networks with Wideband Audio.

iPhone 5 is pegged to be the thinnest and lightest iPhone ever and has been redesigned to include a 4-inch Retina display; an Apple-designed A6 chip for fast performance. iPhone 5 comes with iOS 6 and equipped with over 200 new features including: Shared Photo Streams, Facebook integration, all-new Maps app and Passbook organisation. According to industry reports, the iPhone5 will be available in three memory sizes in India, which are 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB priced at Rs 45,500, Rs 52,500 and Rs 59,500, respectively.
