Palki Sharma has stepped down as Managing Editor of Firstpost, with sources telling e4m that she will be launching her own venture. The development was communicated to employees via an internal note accessed by PITCH.
“It is with a heavy heart that I share an important leadership update at Firstpost. After a remarkable tenure as Managing Editor, Palki Sharma has decided to step down,” wrote Santosh Menon.
Menon added, “During her time at Firstpost, Palki played a pivotal role in launching our prime-time show, Vantage, and was instrumental in shaping its editorial tone. She anchored the show with clarity, insight, and an unwavering commitment to presenting global news through an Indian lens, earning widespread acclaim. Beyond her on-air role, Palki helped build a strong editorial team and foster a culture of journalistic excellence. We thank her for her contributions and wish her all the best in her future entrepreneurial pursuits.”
In the same communication, Menon announced that Binoy Prabhakar has joined Firstpost as Chief Content Officer.
