Niyo has brought back Sai Sankar as Chief Business Officer (CBO) for its Forex vertical. The Niyo Forex division operates under the leadership of CEO Amit Talwar.
Sai Sankar returns to Niyo after spending two years pursuing entrepreneurial ventures, having earlier been part of the founding team and associated with the company for nearly eight years.
During his earlier stint, Sankar was instrumental in developing Niyo’s zero-forex markup travel card offering and was promoted to CBO of the Niyo Travel Card business in 2023.
In his new role, he will focus on strengthening distribution strategy, growing partner-led channels, and expanding Niyo’s footprint across major outbound travel and forex corridors. He will also collaborate closely with product, operations, and partnership teams.
Sharing his thoughts on the appointment, Vinay Bagri, Founder & CEO of Niyo, said, “Sai played a pivotal role in building Niyo’s forex and travel business in its formative years. As we expand our distribution network and partner ecosystem, his category expertise and execution-driven approach will be vital for our next phase of growth.”
On his return, Sai Sankar, Chief Business Officer, Niyo Forex, said, “Niyo’s forex business is at a turning point, backed by strong product-market fit and a well-defined scale-up roadmap. I’m excited to rejoin the team to broaden distribution, reinforce partnerships, and create a more seamless forex experience for Indian travellers.”
