Yong Su Kim, Executive Vice President and Global Head of Video Services & Partnerships at Samsung Electronics, has decided to step down after more than two years in the role. He announced his departure in a LinkedIn post.

“After two incredible years, I have decided to leave Samsung at the end of the year. Reflecting back on the past two years, it really feels more like five years given the many significant accomplishments across our global team,” Kim wrote.

During his tenure, Kim led the global teams overseeing Samsung’s Global Services Business and Partnerships within the Visual Display Business. His responsibilities spanned sales, partnerships, and product development across key platforms including Samsung TV Platform, Samsung TV+, Samsung Ads, Gaming Hub, Art Store, and the Tizen OS licensing business.

Before joining Samsung, Kim headed Google’s Mid-Market and SMB advertising sales teams across North and South America, one of Alphabet’s fastest-growing businesses. He began his career at Oracle and has since held senior leadership roles at WebEx as well as several startups in Silicon Valley and New York.
