The company has fully redeemed its non-convertible, non-cumulative redeemable preference shares (NCRPS) as of January 19, 2026. This indicates that all preferred shares have been repurchased, and the principal along with the agreed premium has been returned to the shareholders.
The company redeemed a total of 8,969,597 preference shares.
These shares, with a face value of Rs10 each, were originally issued at a premium of Rs90. After the completion of the 36-month period, they have been redeemed at a premium of Rs120 per share, with premium of Rs 20.
The total redemption payout amounted to 107 crore 63 lakh 51 thousand and 640 rupees, fully funded from the company’s distributable reserves.
Music Broadcast Limited also confirmed that an interim dividend of 0.1% on these preference shares for FY2025-26 has been paid, equivalent to Rs 0.01 per share. The record date for this dividend was January 9, 2026, and payment was made on January 19, 2026.
The company emphasized that the redemption was executed entirely on a maturity basis, with no partial repayments or delays. All eligible preference shareholders received full payments on time, and no outstanding amounts remain on these shares.
